Stamford Police attempted to arrest Alana Fallon, 25, of Pleasantville after officers asked her to leave the outdoor celebration event at Columbus Park because she was too drunk, said Stamford PD Sgt. Steve Perrotta.

After screaming and arguing with the officers, she stumbled down the street, according to Perrotta. The officers told her she would need to have someone pick her up or be taken to Stamford Hospital because of her condition, Perrotta said.

At that point she became enraged and began cursing and screaming at the officers as they attempted to calm her down enough to arrest her, he said.

Fallon then began kicking and hitting the officers while stumbling around, Perrotta added.

"She kept violently resisting the officers and was screaming," he said.

The officers finally managed to get handcuffs on her and get her into a patrol car, suffering blows along the way.

Once in the back of the patrol car she spent the entire ride to the police station kicking at the back window, attempting to break it, Perrotta said.

At the station, she at first refused to provide her identity. She was finally placed in a cell and charged with three counts of assault on a police officer, breach of peace, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.

Perrotta was not sure what her bail was set at.

"I know she's out because I saw her walking by the front door of the station," he said.
